On Tuesday 12th November VANEL, will be delivering a “Cyber Security” training session aimed specifically at Neighbourhood Watch groups and Coordinators at the VANEL office (23 Bargate) starting at 4pm.
The session is free and will take around 1.5-2 hours, so we’ll be finished by 6pm.
This session is delivered by VANEL but funded by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) who are trying to make sure that community organisations and charities are learning how to better protect themselves from viruses, spam and scam emails and other forms of computer and cyber attacks.
If you’re looking after a Neighbourhood Watch group then you’ll probably be using a personal computer, you might hold personal information about community members, you may even have money you’re responsible for. Protecting yourself from cyber crime is important to you.
So come along to this short, free session and learn more!
Book via Karl Elliott at VANEL (who will be delivering the session) – 01472 361043, karl@vanel.org.uk There will be limited spaces so please make sure you book in advance.
