Beach access – Fitties, Thorpe Park and Tetney Marshes

It is vital that we still respect the lockdown and daily exercise conditions locally, as we have a very low incidence rate in N.E. Lincolnshire compared to the rest of the country.

Having a big wet area to the east, the North Sea,  and being “end of the motorway line” must help, along with more rural areas with farmland and the Wolds areas being here.

By observing a continuance of lockdown procedures, we have a really good chance of being one of the first areas to have lockdowns lifted in a gradual manner, but this means the eyes of the whole country will be upon us.

With the good weather returning today, please, do not venture towards the titled beach areas – Thorpe Park, The Fitties, and the yacht club going towards the Tetney marshes.

Residents on the Fitties have noted over 180 non residents in one day recently, accessing the roads to gain beach access.

Many residents on these areas are housebound with isolation problems, and the Fitties especially do not want to see a rise in contamination cases from visitors going around the area asking for directions etc.

Please give these areas a miss until it is deemed completely safe to do so.

The Fitties NHW and residents groups will be noting all regastration numbers concerned, taking photgraphs if needed, and reporting any activities that put residents at risk in their own home environments.

PLEASE ALLOW THESE RESIDENTS TO STAY SAFE, IN AN AREA THAT IS QUITE ISOLATED, WITHOUT VISITORS ACCESSING THE AREA.
