ASB Summit brings partners together

The first NEL ASB Summit for about five years took place at Grimsby Town Hall this week. The event brought together partners and agencies from across the borough to look at what is already in place to support our community to tackle Anti-Social Behaviour and to explore options as to what else can be done.

A full write up from the day can be found on the Council website here. And the Grimsby Telegraph visited on the day too.

VANEL were involved in the setting up of the day and delivered a couple of presentations covering the Neighbourhood Networking programme. The value of Neighbourhood Watch was touched on again and again throughout the day.

The Policing teams; ward councillors; agency staff and voluntary sector staff all benefitted from this focused day together and will be taking away actions to help our communities tackle ASB together.

Keep an eye on www.nelwatch.org.uk over the months with tips and advice on tackling ASB in your community. Take a look back at a couple of blogs I wrote during ASB Awareness Week last year here: http://nelwatch.org.uk/tag/asbawarenessweek/
