A very brief roundup of community safety related news this week, with a reminder to keep looking back through older editions to see what you might have missed that might be worth sharing. All editions are online.

General News

Help Find Missing Vulnerable People Faster by completing the Herbert Protocol”. Share with those who could benefit from having the required information in place.

A new initiative to teach life-saving “street first aid” to young people has been launched in the Humber region. Read more about the Young Responders scheme on St John Ambulance site. This positive local initiative is being led Humber wide by the Violence Prevention Partnership through funding from the PCC.

Scams and Fraud Awareness

Roads policing officers crack down on anti social behaviour.

The Police and Crime Commissioner has funding that can help support the installation of new speed indicator advice equipment. Read about that here and speak to your local Police and Parish/Ward Councillors to get support if this could be relevant in your area.

Operation Snap is the local Policing operation to help you to deal with dangerous driving on our roads. Read more.

A reminder about the “Together for Tomorrow” community safety fund day on 12th August in Sutcliffe Park, Nunsthorpe organised through partners involved with Clear Hold Build. Pop along.
