No Cold Caller Window Stickers

VANEL have long been able to provide residents across North East Lincolnshire with “No Cold Caller” window stickers.

These have a cost, so over the years we’ve had funding from various funders and as part of a variety of projects. Thank you to Big Local North Cleethorpes; Humberside Police and Crime Commissioner; Ward Councillors from East Marsh, West Marsh, South Ward, Sidney Sussex ward; National Lottery; North East Lincolnshire Council to mention the most obvious.

VANEL hold a supply of stickers which can be collected from us at our offices/hub (82 Grimsby Road, Cleethorpes). You’ll also find copies of the stickers in our Information Hubs across North East Lincolnshire. You might also find stickers with your local Policing team or Ward Councillors.

Sorry – we can’t post stickers out due to cost.

Cold calling is the act of making uninvited visits to your home with the intention of selling goods or services. It is not illegal and does not require a licence. However, the law states that a trader who ignores a resident’s request to leave and not return commits a criminal offence. You can express your request not to receive visits from cold calling doorstep traders by displaying a sign.

Whichever version of the sticker you display should help deter cold callers and give you authority to turn them away. Make sure your neighbours are displaying them too!
