As wonderful as family and friends events are , along with getting rid of safe combustible rubbish, please spare a thought for your close neighbours, both for noise and smoke pollution.
Do you know if any close neighbour suffers from any breathing problems – COPD, asthma, hayfever etc?
These conditions can all be triggered by smoke leaving your premises into their area of living.
Please check wind directions, and whether any neighbours still have washing out to dry.
It only takes a minute to knock at a door and quietly tell them what you are planning to do, giving them a chance to close windows, bring in clean washing that has aired outdoors etc.
Enjoy yourselves, but please be a considerate neighbour at the same time !
