I have been asked to make the request for new consultation live on this site – please go to the link if you feel strongly about the subject matter and add your personal viewpoint.
Consultation on the Draft Empty Property Strategy has started today, lasting until 21st June 2020.
We are contacting you, as you or your organisations members may wish to participate in the consultation.
Empty and derelict property present problems to communities and place a strain on public services. They can become a focal point for issues such as fly-tipping, anti-social behaviour and other criminal activities. This all places extensive demands on public services such as the Council, Police, Fire and Rescue. This proposed strategy sets out the Councils intended approach to reduce the number of empty properties in the borough.
The easiest way to have your say is by completing the survey online at www.nelincs.gov.uk/have-your-say.
In normal circumstances paper copies of the consultation would be available at local libraries and Grimsby’s Customer Access Point. However due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Council is instead offering a telephone and postal option if required. If you need to ask any questions, a survey posting to you or to complete the survey via telephone please contact me on 01472 324775.
