This week I’ve got a new and useful guide to share with you. If you or anyone you know is at risk of scams then this is well worth a read. It tells you practical ways to protect yourself (and others) and talks about sensible ways to keep track of your bank accounts.
The guide is not new, but I’ve not published it before here. It’s from the national trading standards team and well worth a read through.
Download the .pdf guide “Protection from scams” here.
Scam awareness session
On Tuesday 27th October I’ll be hosting a very short briefing on Zoom talking about Scams. It will be at 2.30pm and will only take 30 minutes so it doesn’t interrupt your day too much. I’ll run through what a scam is, what to do to protect yourself or report a scam and lots of quick tips to get you thinking. If you just want a simple overview of how to think more carefully about scams then please join me. We’ll have a short Q&A session at the end. Depending on interest I may then do different types on online session in this manner in the coming months. Let me know if you’d like to join in and then I’ll send you the link and more information closer to the time. Contact me via karl@vanel.org.uk or 01472 897337.
More next week.
Don’t forget our general page of reference information about scams here.
