Community safety
Council CCTV helps with 478 incidents across North East Lincolnshire.
The consultation is still open for a few more days for feedback on the proposed Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) for Nuisance Motor Vehicles which will cover NEL. Closing date 9th March. Have your say. Read more about this here.
VANEL have just published our latest KOPS newsletter (Keeping Older People Safe) containing community safety advice for older people.
A new Community Safety/Neighbourhood Watch Information Hub is now in place in East Marsh at the YMCA Bradbury Cafe. Pop in to pick up community safety related leaflets and materials.
Pop across to the Civic Centre in Immingham on Friday 6th March for the LLP organised Older Peoples Advice Day (10am-2pm). VANEL will be there with our Community Safety stand sharing information. Local Immingham Policing Team will also be attending.

The North East Lincolnshire Community Safety Partnership (CSP) plan for 2025-2029 can be found on their website. Have a read to see the priorities for the coming years.
Reclaim These Streets walk. Friday 20th March Wednesday 25th March starts at Cleethorpes Leisure centre at 7.00pm, meeting from 6.45pm and is approx. 2 miles. The walk is for the community to take a stand against violence against women and girls, although we recognise that anyone can feel vulnerable.

Neighbourhood Watch
Ourwatch published a discussion piece on their blog about how we all connect as parts of our community. Connected to their recent Impact Report and their new Strategy. “Opinion: We need to be bold about how we connect and act in our communities”.
VANEL are in the process of formalising a couple of new Neighbourhood Watch Groups in West Marsh and Immingham. If you and your neighbours are interested in discussing setting up a Neighbourhood Watch Group (it’s not difficult) please contact Karlto discuss.
Local news
North Cleethorpes:
VANEL will host our monthly Community Safety/Police drop in at 82 Grimsby Road on Tuesday 3rd March 11am-12noon.
South Ward:
As part of the ongoing Build phase of Clear Hold Build in Nunsthorpe, a series of short videos are being published showcasing local work.
